Conditions We Treat

The integrative and holistic approach to physical healing enables the body to be treated for several conditions. The first step, though, is properly determining what your condition is, then creating a personalized program to work towards a natural solution.*

Chronic Pain

This pain can be either sharp, dull, or achy. Usually a symptom from an inciting injury, chronic pain can last anywhere from weeks to years.

Anxiety

Generally associated with worry or chronic concern, anxiety can be a crippling disorder that affects every aspect of your life.

Cardiovascular Disease

Any disease or condition related to the heart can be considered cardiovascular disease, including blood clots and artery issues.

Depression

This is a mental illness that negatively alters your thoughts and actions both inward and outward, often associated with intense and lasting sadness.

Insomnia

Insomnia is the inability to fall asleep, but it can run deeper with nighttime anxiety, restlessness, or being able to stay asleep.

Lyme Disease

Spread by tick bites, Lyme disease has similar symptoms to the flu and often comes with a small rash.

Fatigue

Feeling constantly tired or unmotivated can be a result of clinical fatigue, which affects both your physical and mental performance.

Digestion Problems

While it can be hard to monitor issues in the digestive tract, problems can still occur and affect the rest of the body.

Sports & Accident Injuries

Physical injuries can be a result of almost any activity, from small injuries such as sprains, even up to larger strains and tears.

Your Different Treatment Options

Acupuncture Services in Fairfield County, CT

Acupuncture has its roots in Traditional Chinese Medicine, which is based on finding a balance in all things. Similar to the belief of yin and yang, balanced good health is called Qi (pronounced “chee”). Qi is the flow and balance throughout your body. If you are experiencing imbalance or discomfort, addressing acupuncture points across the body can help reset your core. Our acupuncture services involve the placement of small, sterile needles into these touch points to find your Qi and establish balance.*

Secondary Acupuncture Therapies

Cupping

Cupping is a treatment method often used by professional athletes and trainers to optimize their physical performance. Through the use of small glass cups or bamboo jars, cupping creates isolated vacuum seals on certain parts of the body. This relieves targeted pain and increased circulation throughout these areas. We offer cupping to our Fairfield County patients in two methods: wet and dry. Both help relieve soreness and pain.

Diathermy

Heat therapy is a physical treatment technique used to address muscle pain and sore joints. Diathermy is often referred to as “moist heat therapy,” and is typically used with forms of physical therapy. Heat is generated in specified pain points with safe electric currents to ease up strained and tense joints, increase circulation, and promote recovery.*

Moxibustion

Moxibustion is another treatment founded in Traditional Chinese Medicine and based on similar principles to acupuncture. We treat our Fairfield County patients with herbal burning to promote healing. The use of herbs helps the flow of Qi and blood circulation throughout the body.

Tu Nai

Another Traditional Chinese Medicine technique is Tui Na, which involves therapeutic massages to help our patients’ bodies reset their Qi and find physical and mental balance. These massages consider the body as a whole, working to heal holistically without any physical compensation later on. Tui Nai can either be paired with acupuncture or replace acupuncture treatments, depending on the needs of our patients. This is often the case with younger patients, such as children.*

Dietary Therapy in Fairfield County, CT

Finding and establishing balance for the body goes beyond physical treatments. Diet and nutrition directly impact the rest of your body and mind. We offer our Fairfield County patients personalized dietary therapy that fits around specific needs and patterns.*

Our dietary therapy techniques can have several focuses, such as moderation, but the overarching goal is finding Qi balance again through nutrition.

Treatment options should go beyond scheduled appointments and positively impact the rest of your life. With the use of our herbal medicine and supplementation, we seek to do exactly that for our Fairfield County patients.
