Your Different Treatment Options
Acupuncture Services in Warren, CT
Many Warren patients find relief from pain and stress through acupuncture, a main aspect of Traditional Chinese Medicine. To achieve your optimal health, you must have a balance of yin and yang, known as Qi, and when something interrupts that energy flow, such as an illness or injury, pain and other problems can arise. During an acupuncture session, a specialist will insert sterile thin needles into various acupuncture points throughout your body.*
Secondary Acupuncture Therapies
Cupping is offered in either wet or dry, and uses suction cups to stimulate your skin and muscles. This form of alternative medicine can help cellular repairs, reduce muscle tension, and have overall health and wellness benefits. It is proven to help reduce stress in our Warren patients as well, helping to contribute to our overall goal of treating the body as a whole.*
Also known as moist heat therapy, Diathermy can help reduce aches and pains associated with muscle and joint issues. This form of heat therapy uses high-frequency electric currents to stimulate heat generation in tissue to increase blood flow and help accelerate healing. It can sometimes be used as a form of physical therapy.*
Another form of Traditional Chinese Medicine is moxibustion, a form of heat therapy where a dried mugwort (a small spongy herb), is burned over the surface of the skin in order to stimulate Qi. This form of medicine can help rid certain pathogens, strengthen blood, and maintain overall health.
Another form of Traditional Chinese Medicine is Tui Na. This method of bodywork and massage therapy can be utilized with acupuncture, moxibustion, and cupping. It can sometimes replace acupuncture depending on the patients needs. Tui Na helps harmonize the bodies yin and yang and maintain Qi, the energy that circulates throughout your body.*
