C.W. is a 14 y.o. male that came to our clinic with various chief complaints including anxiety, difficulty concentrating in school, fatigue and irritability. Patient was brought to clinic by parents due to decreased productivity and performance in school and also because of poor attitude.
Tests: In-office exam, Star Math Test Scores Progress
Results: In-office exam showed adrenal fatigue and autonomic nervous system dysfunction. The scaled score for patient’s star math test was 839 on 9/17/18 and 845 on 1/14/19; both results before coming to our clinic.
Protocol and outcome: Patient was given a protocol addressing the adrenal fatigue as well as the autonomic nervous system dysfunction. The protocol included acupuncture treatments as well as supplements, Chinese herbs and lifestyle changes. During the most recent in-office exam, patient reported no symptoms except for fatigue, his adrenal glands were normal and nervous system more balanced. Also, patient had a star math test on 6/05/19 and scored 896. Parents are happy with results and patient continues in a maintenance protocol. Patient will be re examined every 12 treatments to monitor progress.
